Talents that love their job and are engaged with their company don’t feel the need to leave. What makes them happy and satisfied with their job?
Attracting and retaining talent is a major challenge for companies in the knowledge area, specifically software development companies. There is currently an extremely high employee turnover rate in this industry that produces a negative impact on the organisation’s performance, beyond the costs related to the losses. Uncovering the reasons behind staff turnover and applying recruitment and retention initiatives is vital for companies.
Besides basic pay and benefits, managing expectations early on at the selection process, flexibility and continued attention to their needs, employees must also feel happy while at work. So, what do talents want?
If talents get exactly what they ask for regarding their job conditions, will it be enough? Would that make them happy? Will they stay within a company? Besides basic pay and benefits, what is the most attractive feature that keeps talents engaged with their current company? What makes them happy?
