Throughout history, humans have sought protection. In caves, huts, tents, buildings, we humans look for something that help us carry out our daily tasks more safely and comfortably.
But is staying indoors safe? How can comfort be improved?
In our day-to-day lives, we spend most of our time indoors: home, daycare centers, schools, offices, factories, shopping centers, gymnasiums, cinemas, theaters, arenas,… About 80% to 90% of our time is spent indoors.
There are studies that identify some problems that have affected humans in indoor spaces: air pollution, mold, allergenics, chemical agents, thermal comfort. The costs to solve these problems, when they occur, are quite high.
We are interested in studying the effects of digitalization in construction methods, building materials, technologies and design on the quality of the environment inside buildings, in a sustainable way and with lesser costs in production
How can digitalization help improve the construction methods of buildings making them healthier, more affordable and more sustainable?
How digitalization and technology can contribute to improvements in construction processes, making them more effective?
construction methods, construction materials and design can be improved to the demands of the climate changes?
How can technology and construction industry contribute to reducing the global warming and reducing the use of materials raw?
