Communicating the importance of hunting in preserving nature and biodiversity
Description
Hunting is commonly perceived by the general population as an activity that is harmful to nature and puts the persistence of animal species at risk. However, it is known that the exploitation of hunting resources carried out in an ethical and sustainable manner effectively favors habitat management, nature conservation and the preservation of biodiversity. In fact, a technical-scientific management of game species, based on monitoring, knowledge and environmental responsibility, can be decisive in maintaining or restoring the populations and natural habitats. In this context, it is of paramount importance to convey the economic, ecological and environmental importance of this activity to our societies.
As hunting is indispensable to maintain balance in our current ecosystem, how might it evolve in the future? How is hunting perceived in general by the tomorrow's citizens and what should be the angle for communication to create understanding transparently and promoting mutual discourse regarding the topic?
